Two notes that catch people out. First, cold brew and nitro coffee still need filtered water even with no boiler — taste is the whole product. Second, a busy soda fountain is the opposite of a small café in flow terms: a low-flow coffee cartridge will choke a fountain that needs more gpm, so don't carry one spec across both.

Part numbers and ratings are from the Pentair Everpure cartridge best-seller and system sizing data. Several families have multiple sizes — confirm the exact figure on the cartridge spec sheet for your model. 4H (coffee) and XC (extreme-water fountain) are also stocked at Foxx; confirm current capacity on the spec sheet at order time.
Lower micron = finer filtration. A 0.5-micron fountain cartridge (4FC) removes finer particulate and reduces cysts by mechanical means, where a 5-micron carbon block (2CB5/7CB5) handles chlorine, taste, odor, and coarser particulate. A coarse prefilter (around 10 micron, EC110/EC210) catches sediment and rust up front so your fine cartridge isn't wasted clogging on grit.

How Everpure systems are built: head + cartridge
Almost every Everpure setup is two parts: a filter head that mounts to the wall and stays plumbed in, and a cartridge that twists into it. When it's time to change, you twist out the old cartridge and twist in a new one — no tools, no re-plumbing. That's the "sanitary quick-change" design, and it's why your recurring purchase is almost always just the cartridge, not the whole system. Buying for a new location? You need the full system (head + cartridge + bracket, and a prefilter if your water is dirty). Already have Everpure installed? You almost certainly just need the matching replacement cartridge — match the model number printed on the existing cartridge.
When to replace your Everpure cartridge
Replace at the rated gallon capacity OR every 6–12 months — whichever comes first. Everpure sizes most systems for about six months of average use between changes; the media also degrades over time, so even a low-volume site replaces on a calendar regardless of gallons.
Three signals mean change it now, ahead of schedule: the pressure gauge drops into the red zone while water is flowing, the flow rate slows, or the water develops an off taste or odor. How often should a commercial water filter be replaced?
Replace at the cartridge's rated gallon capacity or every 12 months, whichever comes first. High-volume locations hit the gallon limit first; low-volume ones hit the 12-month limit first. Replace early if the pressure gauge drops into the red zone or you notice a change in flow or taste.
Is there a maximum filter life even at low volume?
Yes — 12 months. The carbon and bacteriostatic media degrade over time regardless of how much water passes through, so a low-volume café that never reaches the gallon rating still replaces annually.
Which Everpure cartridge do I need for my equipment?

Do I need scale reduction?

How do I know my filter is due?
